I ordered NGK Iridium sparkplugs and they should be here tomorrow. I took out the old plugs, inspected them and found them to be in near new shape and showed no red flags. The old owner used platinum plugs and these plugs I doubt had more than 50 miles on them, but they have been in the car for over 5 years.

Yeah, get new plugs.

The head got torqued down and all seemed to be well with the head. I have been pretreating the head bolts and the spark plugs with WD-40 for about a week and that paid off. No skin off the old knuckles today.

I used one trick tool and that was Snap-On Wobble Socket Extension. It really helped with tightening the head in cramped corners.
