Fuel Pump Issues
Yet another holiday used in the wonderful pursuit of British Sports Car Maintenance.
We started with my neighbor Malcom (the previous owner of my Spider)….
We got his 78 Spitfire going after about 2 years of storage. We also got his 80 TR7 at least to turn over… no slack miracle there.

Coil issue solved
These coils are from the AC Delco electronic ignition systems and are NOT carried by anyone I could find. It was eBay to the rescue. Got the replacement for $50 (including new distributor). Not too shabby.

Ignition Coil… huh?
Ok, my 76 TR7 had the typical slender, round ignition coil. My Spider has this thing…
Note the cracked and decayed plug? I know I need to order these, but I can’t find replacements. Is this an aftermarket thing?

Finally Replaced Ignition Stuff
I got the parts in from Victoria British and got the new wire ste, distributor cap and button installed.
Still didn’t turn over…
