It was a long and rainy winter and today was the first chance I had to get back to the Spider.

The new fuel pump was replaced and it worked great. I will need to replace the fuel line going into the pump however, and while I am at it, a fuel filter is on the menu.

So, we hooked everything up, reconnected the battery and the car spluttered on the carb cleaner and then nothing.

But this is a victory! The fact that the engine actually fired is very good news - great news in fact.

Tomorrow, if the rain doesn’t start back, we will get back out there to explore what problems the carbs may have.
